Vintage-inspired Design & Decor in the GTHA and South Coast of Ontario
I love old stuff and helping others find and incorporate vintage, recycled and upcycled treasures into their personal space. Blending old with new is an art and I'd be pleased to work with you to help you create your own unique style. Keep the things you love and add new, handmade, vintage and upcycled items to create a fresh space for you and your loved ones to enjoy. The only new items in this bedroom are the IKEA bed frame and mattress. The vintage dresser was purchased from Goodwill for $5.95 and painted buttermilk yellow. The drawer pulls are made from wooden children's blocks. All other items in the room were purchased at antique markets or thrift stores.
I have renovated and reimagined rooms for decades - from a mid-century suburban bungalow in Toronto to an 1870 Second Empire farmhouse in Oakville. 1840 Post Office is a designated heritage property in the historic village of Normandale on the shores of Lake Erie where my family spends weekends and vacation time. I have recently decorated the property using a few new pieces, but mainly vintage, recycled and upcycled items, both inside and out. This stunning 1880s Ontario maple hutch was purchased for $800 at an antique market and is filled with complementary collections of vintage pottery and glass. All tolled, under $150 was spent on the collections, which were primarily bought at thrift stores.
My style is eclectic and imaginative. I take what you love and blend it with what you need and want in your space. In addition to helping you with your interior and exterior design needs, I can source affordable décor items of all types and sizes for you and organize delivery, assembly, etc.
Whether you are moving into your first house or pulling together a vacation property, I can help you get just the right look for your style and budget. This living room area contains two new IKEA armchairs and a footstool as well as a new IKEA sectional. Numerous affordable thrift store and antique market finds, including all artwork, complete the space.
